Please read carefully the following conditions if you wish to use or contribute content to the wiki.
Note: These terms apply only to the wiki part of the AMI@Work communities site. Shared workspaces, blogs, forums, and other components can be used under different terms.

General information
The server is currently situated in Germany. Different laws and international conventions will apply depending on your location. Many countries have "fair use", "free use", or similar clauses in their copyright laws. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit your rights arising from such clauses.

Wiki text
The textual content of the wiki is available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license (CC-BY 2.5). Each article ("work") is licensed separately. In short, you are free
- to copy, distribute, and display the work
- to make derivative works
- to make commercial use of the work
under the following conditions:
- Attribution. You must attribute the work to "AMI@Work Communities Wiki" and provide a link to the corresponding article page http://www.ami-communities.eu/wiki/ArticleName.
- For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the license terms of this work and include the full text of the license or the following URI: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/.

Uploaded files
The images, audio and video clips are distributed under the terms of the license indicated on their corresponding wiki page (Image:filename.ext).
We try to make as many images as possible available under the CC-BY 2.5 license (with required attribution only to AMI@Work Communities Wiki) or another license with similar restrictions. However, before distributing or publishing a file from this wiki, including images embedded in articles, you must check its corresponding Image:-page to see the conditions. If no rights are granted explicitly or via reference to a license, the copyright owner reserves all exclusive rights under copyright law and other applicable laws.
If a file has no licensing information on its Image:-page, this means we're in the process of figuring it out. For the time being, such a file can only be viewed on the page or used according to your rights arising from applicable laws ("fair use", etc.).
Contributors
Your textual material
If you add your own material to this wiki, you thereby license it to the public under the terms of CC-BY 2.5 with "AMI@Work Communities Wiki" as "designated party" according to section 4b of CC-BY 2.5. Nevertheless, this does not mean that you transfer copyright or any other exclusive right to the wiki. You remain the copyright owner and may additionally publish and distribute your material under any terms you choose.
Note: Your contributions will be attributed to you on the corresponding article's History and Credits pages. As our license terms require distributors and creators of derivative works to link to the original wiki articles, detailed author information will always be available in all copies and derivative works of the wiki articles via a link. This is analogous to the conditions on including the CC-BY 2.5 license text upon distribution: you just have to link to it.
External textual material
The whole textual content of the articles in this wiki is published under the terms of CC-BY 2.5. If you add text from external sources, you must be in a position to do so. This means that the external content must be in the public domain for Germany or available under the terms of a license compatible with CC-BY 2.5, like the Creative Commons Attribution License in all its versions lower or equal to 2.5, the MIT license, the BSD license (only the so called "new" BSD License without advertizing clauses) and others.
Of course, you can quote external material to a justifiable amount if, and only if, you include a reference to the source.
Upload
If you upload your files, or files for which you have such rights, please use the license CC-BY 2.5 with "AMI@Work Communities Wiki" as "designated party" according to section 4b of this license (license tag {{cc-by-ami}}). This makes it possible to embed these files in articles without forcing users to compile long attribution lists upon distribution. In this case users will only need to provide a link to this wiki, where additional information about the work, such as the author's name, can be found.
Of course, you can add additional licenses under which you would like to publish the file.
When you upload a file from an external source, you must always indicate the license under which it is distributed. If there's no such license, and the material is not in the public domain, neither you nor this wiki has the right to distribute it. In such cases, please do not upload the file. Unfree files without or with an incorrecty specified license will be deleted as soon as possible.
In any case, please include detailed information about the source of the file. The license of the file may also require inclusion of additional information such as the author's name.
If you want to distribute files of types other than images, audio or video clips (e.g. PDF files or Microsoft Office documents) you have to upload these files to a BSCW workspace first, make it anonymous readable and link it with a BSCW interwiki link in your article. For Microsoft Office documents you may use the Creative Commons Add-in for Microsoft Office to embed a Creative Commons license into your document.
